Members Class, August 16thPastor
Wayne will have a New Members Class on Monday, August 16th from 6:00
to 9:00 p.m. If you are
interested in joining First Presbyterian Church, or if you are just
wanting to learn more about the church, this is the class for
you. For more information, please speak to Pastor Wayne or

Wayne Chaplin Installation Ceremony, August 15th
Rev. Wayne Chaplin will be installed
as our pastor on Sunday, August 15th at 4:00 p.m. Everyone is
invited to attend the installation ceremony in the Sanctuary.
There will be a reception following with refreshments served.
Loose
Change Offering
Each month the loose change offering
will be used to support a local charity. For the months of
August the loose change offering will support the Goodland
Children's Home. The Evangelism and Community Outreach Committee
appreciates your support of this ministry and the other local
ministries supported by this congregation.

Rev.
Wayne Chaplin Becomes Our Pastor, June 27th
Rev. Wayne Chaplin became our pastor on Sunday,
June 27th. Rev. Chaplin graduated from Princeton Theological
Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. He was ordained in
the PC (USA) in 1992. Wayne and his wife Dorothy moved from
North Port, Florida where Wayne served for seven years. Dorothy
works as a nurse. Wayne's children are grown and live in New
Hampshire.

Wednesday
Night Family Night
All members, their friends and
neighbors are encouraged to attend our mid-week Family night at 5:15
p.m. on Wednesday during the school year. It includes a dinner provided by the church with a
suggested contribution of $3 for each meal appreciated.
At 6:00 p.m. (after supper) there will be Bible study on the Book of
Daniel. A nursery is also provided starting at 6:00
p.m. We will have crafts and Bible stores for the little ones.
Presbyterian
Coffee Project
The Presbyterian Coffee Project links
congregations with small farmers through fair trade in partnership
with Equal Exchange. We will be selling Equal Exchange coffee
and tea as a ministry to small farmers in Latin America, Asia and
Africa by cutting out the middlemen who offer the lowest possible
price. Through Equal Exchange the farmer cooperatives are paid
directly. If you would like to purchase coffee or tea,
see the display in the church office for details.

Sunday Luncheons
Come join us in the Fellowship Hall following
the 10:45 a.m. worship service the first Sunday of the month once each
quarter. Nursery is provided.
